Oh, this is so beautiful and painful all at once! I have no idea what happened to him. Was it that the seahorse was his father? Or somehow related to that? Can't tell - but it encompasses something for me. My own father always paid all attention to work, or his hobbies. If you got his attention, you regretted it. His life's work is something that many admire, but not his own children. Because, while it's known in certain circles, it was all encompassing, and we were merely in the way of his interests and achievements. A few years ago, when it looked like he might have to give up independence, I said how did he want to handle that? His response was it's only a hobby. I got quiet. If he could give up that hobby so easily with no regret, then what were we to him? Because we'd always come after his hobbies. As if we were in the way. When I watched this, it felt like my father's life's work, and what it will mean for him in the very end.

I love this! It really shows that sometimes, to make a relationship work, can take more work than someone is capable of maintaining consistently. Love languages, personality types, where we are on the spectrums from empathic to narcissistic (not the psych issues, we all fall on a range one direction or the other of different personality types, etc). Having unrealistic expectations or believing that others can change to meet our needs, rather than seeing that they have very different needs, and that sometime, we can't help but hurt each other, or can never get into the same groove as the other person, or meet each others needs, because we have such different love languages, personalities, etc. It can hurt definitely, when nothing we do can make something both parties want so badly, work out.

Let me explain: the protagonist is working in white Swedish entitled culture the folks are very used to; their history dictates it. Now there are Turkish people who do tasks and have shops Swedes don't want to run. The Danes are very similar but worse in their racism. Both feel threatened but they are at the top. Sort of like white American males. Hence all the gun violence. They must keep everyone else at a disadvantage

So, he gets these shoes that are fake and look like designer shoes, with lifts in them, because he's short, is balding, and wearing fake teeth (the cheap ones that you fit over your real teeth). He sees himself like the hunks in the magazine (lol). And, he denied the baby as too ugly, that is wife had lied by not revealing she's had extensive surgery. So, now he's going to use the money to do the same? That poor baby, looked more like him then her. ;)

Some of the Spanish words used surprised me. His word he uses for "ass" is "culo". It is correct but it's also concidered vulger. I would think they'd use "nalgas" or "fondallo". Of course they isn't supposed for kids and it might not be vulgar in Spain.

He ends up getting his check paid with stolen money from a bank robber disguised as an old lady by a homeless person picking up pieces of trash! I sincerely hope he enjoyed the cigar ash flavorings he added to his cups of coffee or whatever he was drinking! 😂🤣
